Lt. Eric Fischer
Eric Fischer is a 28 year veteran of the Department and currently the Commanding Officer of the Criminal Investigation Division. He oversees General Investigations, Narcotics, Intelligence and the Crime Pattern Units.
Before becoming a supervisor, Lieutenant Fischer spent five years as a Detective assigned to the Special Victims Unit, where he actively investigated sexual offense and child abuse cases.
Lieutenant Fischer is a certified NYS General Topics Instructor. He instructs throughout the year at the Westchester County Academy at both the recruit and supervisor level, in such topics as domestic violence, child abuse investigations, and interview/interrogation techniques. Most notably, Lieutenant Fischer has been the co-lead instructor at Train-The-Trainer seminars on the proper Identification, Preservation and Collection of DNA Evidence, sponsored by the New York State Regional Community Policing Institute and John Jay College
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Community and Human Services and an Associate of Science degree in Criminal Justice.
